Jot it Down Tuesday/Blogging Addiction Anyone?

Roughly 2 1/2 years ago, I didn't fully understand what a blog was. I'd heard of them, but I thought they were annoying "memememememe" online diaries.

Some are exactly that.

Some are flipping hilarious.

Some make me cry in a good way.

Some make me laugh.

Some make me hungry.

Some inspire me.

Some scare me.

Not even 3 minutes ago, you would have observed that I am clearly addicted to all things bloggy. This is not to say that I understand all things bloggy, technically speaking. I still don't know what I'm doing on here most of the time.

But a lot of you do. (Yay, for you!)

And I really like reading what you have to say. I love looking at your photos. I like stealing your recipes. I soak up your morning devotions, take your advice, and scoot you over a bit on your soap box, as I often like cheering big loud, "HOORAYS!" when you have somethin' hooray-ish to say.

Then there is this crack-like addiction of vlogs. (Not that I've ever done crack. Because I haven't. I'm just saying...I may have a problem...)

SO.

Stinking.

ADDICTED.

Some of you have made quite a name for yourself. I cannot begin to tell you how much that inspires me.

Others remain undiscovered, and you are good! Really, really good!

Some of you...

...

Anyway,

I'm curious. How has the blogging world affected you? Are you as addicted as I am? Or, do you fear bloggers are part of a secret society of shut-ins? Weirdos who want to hide behind their computer screens, spewing oddly relevant topics, while (likely) gulping down copious amounts of blogger Kool-Aid?

What's your favorite blog/vlog?

Which one(s) scare you?

Which ones inspire you?

Which ones teach you how to do laundry/dishes/housework in your sleep?

Okay, back to my nightly ritual of reading blogs and avoiding important things like...

  1. If you find one that teaches you how to do laundry in your sleep please for the love God tweet about it all day long.

  2. i wouldn't want to do laundry in my sleep, since the laundry mat is a couple of apartment buildings and I usually sleep in only undies. I can't imagine the talk that would be happening about me! Yours is one of my favorite funny ones. www.sortacrunchy.net is one of the most inspiring. And I don't consider myself addicted to blogs. I really think it is an amazing platform to share what God is doing in ours lives. But there are many I can't stand to read and they are usually extremely negative, or full of bad content. I don't want to fill my time with junk, just happy thoughts!

    1. Yeah, it's probably best that you stick to daytime laundry washing. LOL

Thank you for the kind words. I'm glad you feel comfortable coming here. :)

  3. Hi! I'm new to your blog (the awesome title drew me in, lol) and this couldn't have been a better first post to read! :D

I love to read blogs with my favorites being those in the categories of homeschooling and technology. I like reading the blogs of those moms who are like June Cleaver clones, and I like coming back down to Earth and reading those blogs of moms who aren't even remotely close to being a "supermom," lol...that way I find goals to work towards, and I find comfort when I fail. :D

Again, I really enjoyed reading this and I'm looking forward to checking out more!

    1. Hello, Katie!

I am so excited to meet you! Thanks for your detailed reply. You sound like my kinda girl, as I read blogs of all types for those exact reasons. I like a well rounded platter of posts to choose from. ;) I'm planning on making a few tweaks here & there, but the "feel" of this blog should stay the same. I have found that, while I enjoy sharing thoughts on home schooling, there's so much more I want to write about. So, be on the look-out for who knows what. :D We've had a month-plus long battle of bronchitis, so I've not been on here like I'd hoped. That said, I was just thinking about my next post, sooooooo....thanks for the encouragement! Yay! I hope to see ya soon.
