Homeschool Mom's Book Report (Because we read to ourselves, as well.)

What I love about Ann Voskamp, is her sweet combination of profound and normal. If you have read her book (1,000 Gifts), then you know what I mean when I say, "Profound." If not, I strongly suggest that you pick up her book:

What captures me on a deeper level is her normalcy. Why? Because she is the real deal. Raw, passionate, awkward in front of a camera (at times), beautiful (at all times), not trying to be anyone else, but Ann. It is her normalcy that brings authenticity to her words. Does that make sense? She has no air of snobbery about her. It's rare for me to continually pick up the same book, over and over...but hers is one I can't put down. So, all of this to say, how excited I was to see that Shaun Groves wrote a song, after reading her book! I cannot wait to play the whole album tomorrow.

All IS His Grace, Ann. Thank you for being...you. <3

Cheering you on & checking the fuel gauge,
Layla

P.S. I realize that this is not a true book report. It just made for a better title than, "Author Report." ;)
