...chillin'.
This has been a GLORIOUS not so manic Monday.
I have to admit, I like that store too.
I thought I would tell you about a helpful little product that we picked up there for Tate. We saw the demo, and I had a feeling that it would be a great quiet time video. Because of Tate's tics, he is not usually able to take a nap when he really needs one. I try to accommodate him by letting him lie on the couch and watch a cartoon. The trouble is, most cartoons are anything BUT soothing. He can even end up ticing more!
We tested this product today, and it proved to calm, soothe, and entertain, all at the same time. I was even able to take a nap, while Tate lay quietly watching this:
This DVD can be purchased here, if you are not near a Fry's: http://www.animusic.com/
It's awesome.
I promise.
Just for fun, I am going to throw in a couple of photos of the boys playing in the hotel's swimming pool.
Skyler's next splash bomb victim.
Tate (A.K.A. Karate Kid)
On our way to Texas, we stopped by our favorite coffee shop in OKC (Wholly Grounds Coffee). It was "Frappe Friday," which means they were 1/2 off.
Oh...
...yeah!
Me, slurping down iced Chai goodness.
Brian and Skyler fixed the printer.
(I promise, they were not robbing the place.)
Blayne, enjoying a "non" coffee frappe. Standing next to him is our good pal, Rocky.
(Skyler, still fixing the printer.)
Tate has his own special order, a caramel non-coffee frappe, at this particular coffee shop.
Cheering you on & checking the fuel gauge,
Layla

your photos, Layla, full of fun, full of love, and a Kitty! What's the Kitty's name? I didn't know you had a cat – I knew there was something about you! And fixing the printer – that's nice – that shows some good mothering – as if I really needed any proof – I already knew. It all seemed very "chill" – and I smiled a lot – I heart smiles. Thank you. And God bless and keep you and each and every one of yours my friend.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Craig. :) Such generous words of encouragement. We had a great time. Brian is to be credited for teaching Skyler how to lend a hand, via fixing computers, and all things manly. Ha! But I appreciate the compliment. Skyler is always ready and willing to help anyone out. He has always been that way. (Who says teenagers are all bad???) I heart smiles too, Craig. :D We have two cats. The one featured here is Possum. She is a little on the...er..."fluffy" side. Haha! Our other calico is named Honey. They are both sweet as pie, and as spoiled as they come. God bless you too, friend. I pray you are able to sleep soundly tonight.
ReplyDeleteAs you know, I am a fan of both of your blogs. You really have a gift. Thank you for sharing it! Actually, I am a fan of the guy (my brother in Christ) who writes the blogs. ;)
